Rocket Science Racing Fuels PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Prior to the introduction of Rocket Science Fuels in 1998, we had run nearly every commercially available mixture. We did not find a fuel in existence on the market that provided both sufficient lubrication and dependable performance on a consistent basis. After careful consideration, we came to the only possible solution. Provide modelers with a fuel that would provide unparalleled performance on a consistent basis and be available at an affordable price. Our substantial knowledge of radio controlled modeling, available resources and willpower, enabled us to manufacture that fuel. We did not squander years of research on exactly what we didn't like about fuels available at that time. A very intensive program was started, carefully orchestrating a process of determining exactly how a good fuel should be built. TESTING PROGRAM We set individual goals for our improved fuels to meet or exceed all competitors in: Superior lubrication Minimal parts deterioration Cooler operation Easier tuning characteristics Superior power Easy starting LUBRICATING PACKAGE Extensive research and testing in the fields of lubrication formulation and proper lubrication ratios began. We started with the finest castors and a proprietary synthetic (PF-3) was developed exclusively for glow fuel engines. Continual and considerable improvements were made after PF-3 was designed. The resulting PF-3 synthetic is a proprietary lubricant package with fortifications in corrosion protection, load pressure lubrication, and performance enhancing characteristics. PF-3 offers a technological advantage through superior design. One of our initial goals in the overall lubrication area was to develop a castor oil that would provide superior lubrication to castors on the market at that time but yet did not leave the same negative byproducts of standard castor oils. We kept testing and reformulating castors until we ended up with a superior castor that featured a low acidic level and reaction that limited carbon and varnish formation. The resulting in a cleaner castor, we selected became a proprietary product. NITROMETHENE AND METHANOL We use only the highest quality nitro, this is the same nitro used by the NHRA. That's right, the same nitro used in the cars of Kenny Bernstien, Doug Kalitta and John Force is the same nitro used in all of our fuels. Our nitro assays on average at 99.97% pure Nitromethane (the other .03% isn't moisture but other nitroparrifins). We use M-1 racing methanol that has a 99.95% minimum purity. M-1 supersedes all ASTM specifications for pharmaceutical use. Due to extremely high purity, engines run cooler, and M-1 is less corrosive. We use only lined drums which prohibit rust, corrosion and metal deposits that can contaminate fuel delivery systems. RACE PROVEN TESTING Extensive testing at regional, national, and world championship events is the "proving grounds" for manufacturers. What wins on Sunday, sells on Monday is the mentality of companies with considerable racing budgets. Racing is important to the development of any high quality product. We have won numerous regional championships nation-wide and major championship races such as Paris Can-Am, Speedline Gran Prix, Texas Biggie, Southern Championships (Ft. Myers, Florida) as well as National Championships.
